ウルサン市伝統文化芸術団のにいがた総おどりフィナーレ演舞

The Jinan City Folk Dance Group and the Ulsan Traditional Culture and Art Group joined the "Niigata So Odori" on September 19 and 20. The Jinan group performed twice and the Ulsan group performed three times during the two days. Their performances added rich international flavor and spice to the event with their cultural uniqueness. On September 20, they presented a live cultural performance for the event "Chinese and South Korean Traditional Culture Stage "at the Konan Ward Cultural Center. About 350 people came to the event and it was widely considered successful: according to the survey after the performance, most of audience judged the event as "very good" or "good." From September 19 to 21, during the "Niigata So Odori," Chinese and South Korean food vendors opened at the event space on the second floor of Bandai City. They offered locals an opportunity to try Chinese and South Korean cultural foods.

Introduction of Event To commemorate the opening of the Culture City of East Asia 2015 Niigata, Niigata will invite cultural groups from Jinan in China and Ulsan in Korea, which it has had close relationships with, and hold the event which you can enjoy dance performances and Chinese and Korean food. On September 19th and 20th, cultural groups from China and Korea will show dance performances at "the Niigata Sohodori Festival''. At Bandai Plaza, food stalls serving Chinese and Korean food will be set up, giving you a chance to learn not only their dance but also their food culture. (Stalls will be open through the 21st.) On September 20th, both countries will give traditional culture performances at the Konan Ward Cultural Center where you can enjoy dances and food culture of Japan, China, and Korea. Jinan City Dance Group: it will perform "Yangge'' which is a rice planting dance in the agricultural district of northern China. Ulsan Traditional Culture Group: it forms a special team consisting of a dance association which specializes in traditional dance and a national music association which specializes in percussion and string instruments.
